CogSci x Gorilla Grant

Gorilla and the Cognitive Science Society have partnered to launch a grant to advance behavioral and cognitive research. This collaboration aims to expand access to powerful online experimentation tools, accelerate innovative studies, and support the next generation of researchers. Together, we’re transforming how science is conducted and shared - making high-quality research more accessible, scalable, and impactful.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Researchers may only apply if they are not already part of a Gorilla subscription - a free (PAYG) account is allowed.
  • Open to any career stage or discipline: students, early career researchers, or seasoned academics are all welcome.
  • Must be a Cognitive Science Society Member.

Grant Prize

  • $1,510: One-year Gorilla Researcher Standard Subscription, including access to premium tools Game Builder, Shop Builder and Multiplayer.
  • $300: Cash from Gorilla (for example, for participant recruitment or to buy extra Gorilla tokens).
  • Individual support session with a Gorilla Product Research Specialist.

    * Winners of the grant will be asked to contribute to a Gorilla blog post after building and launching their study which may be published across social channels.
